Prairie Burn

Prairie Burn is Bluestem Boulder’s first-ever bouldering competition taking place on Saturday, April 18. This event is also the third stop on the new Midwest Bouldering Series, but climbers can compete without participating in the series. All levels welcome!

Early bird pricing is $45 until March 28 and includes a competition T-shirt. After March 28, standard registration is $55 and does not include a competition T-shirt.

*All climbers and spectators must have an updated waiver for 2026, which can be completed under 'Sign Waiver' in your account profile*

Prizes

Everyone who competes has a chance to win prizes from sponsors and local brands! Competitors get one raffle ticket for competing and an additional raffle ticket for each boulder completed.

Elite climbers will also compete for a $1,500 Cash Purse, which goes to the Top 3 Women & Men podium finishers.

Event schedule

Check-in begins 1 hour before session start times. A rules meeting will be held 15 minutes before each session begins. Vendors throughout the day.

Session 1 (8:00AM - 9:30AM) - Youth Recreational + Youth Advanced

Session 2 (10:00AM - 1:00PM) - Elite + Advanced

Session 3 (1:30PM - 4:30PM) - Recreational + Intermediate + Advanced

Raffle (5:30PM) - Competitors must be present to win

Finals (6PM) - Youth Advanced + Elite
