Open Darkroom 2026
In the 2000s and 2010s, bouldering competitions were radically different from those of today. No huge volumes, no acrobatic dyno runs, no shiny mega holds, just climbers facing demanding boulder problems, where power and technique reigned supreme. It is precisely this spirit that the Open Dark Room will revive.
It's for everyone. Whether you're nostalgic for old-school events or just want to try a different format from modern competitions, this competition is for you. There will be climbing for all levels, from V0 to V10.
Format
Qualifications:
50 Boulders
Scoring – Top 8 best boulders
Finals:
Open – Top 8 Men and Top 8 Women (Includes all categories from age 16 and up.)
Open Finals Prizes:1st – $2000, 2nd – $1500, 3rd – $1000
